Hi Mike,

Just wondering, why did you skip Vivace?

Also, next time you are down here, check out All City Coffee. I usually hit the one in the Georgetown neighborhood near Boeing Field.

-Joe

PS - if you are a fan of Vivace and are on Facebook, check out http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=17009450290

Hi Mike
Was reading your blog when I came across the grapefruit tasting espresso. Myself and a good customer of ours were cupping some shots one morning in our store when both of us experienced this same thing. Grapefruit was just not a description of any of the beans we have ever read about but.... it was most definitely there. We experienced ours with a 4 day old Ethiopian Sidamo. We both assumed we were crazy and moved on. Now the grapefruit rises up again!!! I have forwarded your blog to him and no doubt will be going back to the cupping bar for some more Ethiopian to try and duplicate this taste sensation...
Keep up the great work on the blog and the best of luck in your next competition.
